Dec 31,  · I first heard "Carols for All Seasons" back in the sixties when the vinyl LP of this came into our house. I must have listened hundreds of times to the unique voice of Jean Ritchie and these lovely simple songs. We have assigned the term "carol" almost /5(8).

Carols of All Seasons is a studio album by American folk singer Jean Ritchie. It was recorded with two classical musicians, which is not unusual for the late s. The sound anticipates the slightly baroque arrangements that Shirley Collins would later use on Anthems in Eden. As well as some often heard carols, there are some rare ones ("Dame Get up and Bake Your Pies") and four unique ones Genre: Folk, Christmas.
